April 9

We've got one cute but annoying cat on our hands right now. I have no idea why, but every evening around 9:00 or so, she comes inside and decides it is time to make her presence known. She literally sits in the hallway and meows at the ceiling. The annoying factor of this behavior is multiplied by the fact that she occasionally wakes up Will, who screams and cries because Chewie is meowing. Grrr!

April 8

According to Marc, I've "got a bee in my bonnet" because I can't stop cleaning/organizing/redecorating the house. I realized that I get this way every year during spring break...it must be something in our nature that makes us want to make our house bloom in spring along with the flowers and trees.

April 7

Sarah and I took Will and Sophie to NW Trek today. It was fun to have the opportunity to see the animals up close and personal. My favorite was this snowy owl, who was so worried that we'd take his lunch that he kept flittering his wings in an attempt to scare us away. Will's behavior left a lot to be desired today and it was hard for me to completely relax and enjoy our day out. From throwing his lolly stick into the water , to sticking his tongue out at Sophie in the car, this kid is certainly testing his boundaries. The joys of a 3 year old!

April 6

Today was the second day of break and Will and I spent the day together. We started our day with a trip to Target, where Will got to pick out a toy with his Easter money from Grandma Dianne. We then ate lunch at Red Robin with Marc, took a little nap in Mom and Dad's bed, and played in the sunshine. A great way to spend a day with my little man!

April 5

Will must be going through a growth spurt of something because he has asked to go to bed three times in the last week. This is a boy who has never wanted to go to bed. Today he asked if it was bedtime at 5:45. Um...no. I don't want to be up at 4:30. We kept him awake for a while longer, but closed his door before 6:30 this evening. I'm not sure what has gotten into him, but it sure is nice to have an extra hour of quiet on these evenings.

April 4

Our little bunny. Only he's not so little anymore and he's not always cute and cuddly. We enjoyed a great Easter with the family up at the Farm. Will was in heaven, with two eggs hunts and a basket full of candy.

April 3

We spent the day at Grandma and Grandpa Richards' house, getting ready for our Easter festivities. Things were a bit tense at times, given the fact that Will didn't have a nap and still really needs to be taking them. We were in the car for 2.5 hours, couldn't you have given us a little gift, son? Of course, we spent time coloring eggs. Will, however, wasn't very patient, wanting take the eggs out of the dye soon after they were settled on the bottom of the cups. His favorite part? Cracking and smashing eggs, of course!

April 2

Kevin's Pink Ribbon Comedy Tour was in Seattle tonight to Becky, Sarah and I made the drive north to see the boys. All four guys were really funny, but of course, my little bro was the best. I'm so proud of him!

April 1

I took time to do some spring cleaning today and rewarded myself by with some fresh flowers. I found the cutest little miniature daffodils at Ralph's today and they look so cute in my Easter centerpiece.

March 31

Today Mother Nature couldn't make up her mind. The sky was a patchwork of fluffy white clouds, blue sky, and dark storm clouds. We had a few hail showers throughout the day and one happened just as we got out of the car. Will thought it was so funny that ice was falling out of the sky!

March 30

Our little slugger had his first "t-ball" class tonight and thought it was fantastic! The kids went to four different stations and practiced baseball skills such as fielding, hitting, throwing and running the bases.

March 29

I never knew that such a little critter could instill so much fear in a 3 year old. Tonight this itty bitty spider was crawling across our table runner and Will wouldn't go anywhere near the dining room. Aren't boys supposed to love creepy crawlies?

March 28

We had two exhausted boys at our house tonight. Marc was tired from spending hours and hours de-thatching and reseeding the backyard. Will was tired after two days without a nap.
