May 28

It was my day to bring donuts for the kids at school today and, of course, I saved one for my little guy. He tried to save these two bites for Marc and Grandpa Mick, but the call of the chocolate proved to be far too temping to resist.

May 27

Will put on his gardening apron tonight and called it his 'utility' belt. He spent a great deal of time loading it up with all of the things any good handyman needs.

May 26

It's my boy in a box.

May 25

We've got a gigantic clean up on our hands thanks to our little rat-friend. Lucky for me, Marc is taking the reigns on this one, as there is no way I could go in there and clean up.

May 24

We had nearly 20 traps in our room and we finally caught the little bugger. Took two miserable days and I don't want to go back in.

May 23

The cat brought a rat into our room last night. Lovely.

May 22

Today we had a busy day in Seattle, celebrating Sydney's birthday and having dinner at Marna's. From the minute Will and Ben saw each other, there was no stopping these crazy boys from running around!

May 21

$60.00 in samples from Sherwin Williams and we think we've figured it out!

May 20

Will spied this stuffie at Barnes and Noble today and there was no leaving it behind.

May 19

Only picture I took today and it was blurry. It does, however, do a nice job of showing the mischief in his eyes as he runs around the house after bath.

May 18

We took pictures of the house today so that we could upload them to Sherwin Williams. Choosing a new paint color is not going to be easy!

May 17

Will found this t-ball set in the garage and had a great time playing with it tonight. Poor Clifford, however, did not.

May 16

I took this picture around 5 o'clock tonight. This is only the second time in his life that Will has fallen asleep while doing something else; the first was when he was six months old. After a busy day with Marc yesterday, a late night at Hannah's, and a napless day at the Lacey Fun Fair, this little guy had nothing left in him and fell asleep while watching a movie. Poor kid!

May 15

Becky's neighborhood had a garage sale today, so I spent the day peddling our wares today. (Made $190...nice!) After sitting in the hot sun all day, we enjoyed a nice barbeque and the kids had fun playing together.

May 14

Today's weather was gorgeous! Will ended the day playing water balloons and he had the greatest time chasing me around the yard, trying to get me wet. Here you see the face of victory.

May 13

no picture today...whoops!

May 12

Marc has a "meeting" at Fish Tale after work today, so Will and I spent some fun Mom and Son time together. We ate out on the deck at Bayview, then strolled around Percival Landing, before heading back to Bayview to pick out a dessert. Will chose a chocolate cookie with white chocolate chips and loved every bite! Surprisingly, he even let me have a little nibble. Love these moments together, just the two of us.

May 11

The teacher next door to me asked if I'd take pictures of the trout he and the kids raised before they are released this weekend. I jumped at the chance to use my new flash remotely and it worked very nicely. It was the perfect way to light the fish tank without creating a glare on the glass. I'm so happy to have it!

May 10

Lots to do tonight, which meant dinner out. Will loved Old School Pizzeria and couldn't stop looking at all of the pictures or video games. He was especially enamored by this poster of Hulk Hogan, which was hanging right above our booth. At one point he was gazing up at Hulk and said, "Mom...his body is really big right there!" No, not that. It was Hulk's ample bosom. Duh.
Later, Marc and I looked over and saw him pretending to punch Hulk in the hands. We'll have to go again - the decor kept him entertained and he even ate an entire slice of cheese pizza. I was full after one slice!

May 9

The little boy that turned me into a Mom and stole my heart the minute he was born. My boys were good to me today.

May 8

Can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street? Well, we found it in Everett. Today we saw Elmo Live with Grandma Dianne and Henry. Both boys thought it was the greatest thing they had ever seen! They both thought the dark stadium was pretty neat, but I suspect the cotton candy and kettle corn were also high on their list. Unfortunately, DSLR cameras were not allowed inside, so this is our only proof that we were there. Oh, and the overpriced souvenir we now have at home.

May 7

I took today off to relax and enjoy myself before heading to the Mother's Day tea at Will's school. As I sat on the couch, enjoying the morning talk shows, I heard some noise in the dining room. The cat? No, a mouse. Needless to say, my relaxing morning ended. After I showered, I could tell the mouse was under the stove. When Marc got home, he surrounded the stove with traps and put up a barricade so that neither the cat or the boy could get to them. At least it meant I didn't have to cook dinner! It took another 18 hours or so, but we finally got the little bugger. Yucky.

May 6

May 5

We celebrated Cinco de Mayo with nachos and margaritas. Will was quite intrigued by the salt on our cups. Is it that bad that I gave him limeade with salt on the rim of his cup. Probably. We'll hide this one so he doesn't see it until he's past his 21st birthday.

May 4

Will loves to take his time picking out the books we'll read before bed and tonight was no exception. Tonight he picked Snow White and "the dot book." Yes, that is the changing pad from the diaper bag. And yes, Will's listening to Marc "read" it to him.

May 3

I stayed home sick today but did manage to do nearly 8 loads of laundry. It has been a while. Will's outgrown all of his 3T pants, so I'm trying my luck at craigslist. We'll see if selling things is worth it or not.

May 2

My sweet, sweet boy snuggling with me on the couch while I was sick. Luckily, he felt fine today but I did not fare so well.

May 1

Will and I headed up to the farm today to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Will enjoyed seeing Bianca and it was really cute to watch him be so sweet, even helping to feed her. Will's favorite part, by far, was making and eating Grandpa's birthday cake. The not so fun part was the fact that we both got sick. Ugh.

April 23

More practice with my new flash this morning. Subject was mildly willing to cooperate with the photographer this morning.

April 22

Sophie and Sarah came over tonight and we headed to the bakery after dinner. Will and Soph had a great time hanging out in the wagon and loved their gingerbread cookies.

April 21

I got some new camera gear today, including a new flash. I love it! Too bad my cutest subject was already in bed by the time I had a chance to play with it!

April 20

Need to post pic still...

April 19

After yesterday's post, you may be wondering how on earth I got him to smile this big today? The answer is simple - candy. I am so tired of having Will ask - then negotiate - for more Easter candy that I just let him eat the rest of it tonight. There wasn't that much left, but he thought he was in heaven.

April 18

Nothing exciting around here today - just the usual Sunday, which includes cleaning, shopping and getting ready for the week. This was the best shot I could get out of Will tonight.

April 17

Today Will and I went to visit the Lee ladies and these two had a great time playing together. Will and Hannah enjoyed playing "Prince and Princess," saving one another from falling off the slide and dousing baby witches in water to make them melt. Apparently, Will doesn't think that Princes need to wear pants.

April 16

Marc was gone to a retirement party tonight, so Sarah came over to hang out. We enjoyed some wine and more of our homemade ice cream. Its nice to get together outside of the school day (and without kids running around) to talk and laugh. She's the best!

April 15

It is a sad, sad day in our house today, as we bid adieu to our faithful espresso machine. Marc and I bought this as our Christmas gift in 2004, the first year we lived in this house. It was a great little machine!

April 14

It was quite nice out today, so Will and I headed to Roosevelt after dinner in the wagon. Will also had to bring "Geeki," a hideous light up turtle that Marc got at a local tavern. Geeki enjoyed swinging and Will decided that he needed ride the swing sideways, just as his little turtle was doing.

April 13

Marc got Will a new hat at the Mariner game yesterday, just in time for day two of tball practice. Marc took Will by himself and came home positively exasperated by Will's *excellent* listening skills. This boy of ours is strong willed and won't take no for an answer. It's going to be a long 15 years.

April 12

Marc went to see the M's on opening day today, so Will had I had dinner by ourselves. He took a small bite out of his apple and then giggled about the "door" he'd made. I thought it was pretty funny myself.

April 11

We were supposed to head to Britt's for a get together today, but Will woke up too early and was, once again, in a grumpy mood. We opted to spend some time at the Nisqually Refuge instead. Will had a very hard time listening and wouldn't stay on the path. Consequently, Marc held a screaming kid in his arms for the last half of the trail. It was joyous.

April 10

We had a very grumpy boy today who refused to take a nap. We went outside to throw water balloons that the Easter Bunny gave him and that seemed to cheer him up for a while. Why this picture and not one of water balloons? Marc and I noticed his hair blowing in the breeze and couldn't stop giggling at how silly it looked. We are seeing what Will's hair looks like grown out a bit...haven't given it a cut since right before Christmas. Right now, its not looking too good!
